Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Verde Origen website and the purchase of products offered through it. By browsing or placing an order, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Provider

3. Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ecuador, in particular the Ley Orgánica de Defensa del Consumidor, the Ley de Comercio Electrónico, Firmas Electrónicas y Mensajes de Datos, the Civil Code and the Commercial Code.
4. Products & Prices
Prices are shown in US dollars (USD), the official currency of Ecuador, and include VAT (IVA) where applicable. We may update prices, availability and product specifications at any time without prior notice. The price applicable to an order is the one displayed at the moment the order is confirmed.
5. Orders & Payment
An order constitutes an offer to purchase. The contract is formed when we confirm acceptance by email. We may refuse or cancel an order in case of stock issues, suspected fraud or pricing errors. Payment is processed by authorized payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
6. Delivery
Delivery zones, fees and hours are listed on our contact page. Estimated delivery times are indicative; we are not liable for delays caused by carriers, weather or force majeure. Risk transfers to you upon delivery.
7. Right of Withdrawal & Returns
In accordance with Art. 45 of the Ley Orgánica de Defensa del Consumidor and Art. 48 of the Ley de Comercio Electrónico, you may withdraw from a distance purchase within three (3) business days of receipt, provided the product is unused, sealed and in its original packaging. Perishable food products are excluded from withdrawal once the seal has been broken, for safety reasons. To exercise this right, contact hola@verdeorigen.com.
8. Warranty & Defects
Products are covered by the legal warranty against defects. If you receive a damaged or defective item, notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and we will arrange replacement or refund.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this site (text, images, logos, formulations, software) is the property of Verde Origen or its licensors and is protected by the Código Orgánico de la Economía Social de los Conocimientos (Ingenios). You may not reproduce, modify or distribute it without prior written authorization.
10. Health & Nutritional Claims
Information about ingredients and benefits is provided for informational purposes and does not constitute medical advice. Our products are food, not medicines, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Consult a qualified health professional before changing your diet, especially during pregnancy, lactation or if you have a medical condition.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the price paid for the product giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence or rights that cannot be waived under Ecuadorian consumer law.
12. Personal Data
We process personal data under our Privacy Policy, in compliance with the LOPDP.
13. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute will first be addressed amicably. If not resolved, consumer disputes may be brought before the Defensoría del Pueblo del Ecuador or the competent courts of the consumer's domicile, as provided by the Ley Orgánica de Defensa del Consumidor.
14. Changes
We may amend these Terms; the version in force at the time of your order applies to that order. Continued use of the site after changes means acceptance of the updated Terms.
